Visit Maldives Pro 2023 is the second edition of the Maldives Pro series in the IBC bodyboarding world tour, which was rated as the best event in 2022 World Tour.
The biggest bodyboarding event in the Asian continent will be held in Varunulaa Raalhugandu located in the South East corner of the capital city, Male’ from 3rd – 12th August.
The Wave – Varunulaa Raalhugandu
One of the most popular surf points in the whole of the Maldives is in the capital city Malé –‘Varunulaa Raalhugandu’ the breaks are located on the southeast corner of the city. This is the main break in town, which luckily, is one of the most consistent and powerful waves in Maldives. Really wedges at low, but the waves get messed up at high by the massive coastal protection of tetrapods that line the beach. Raalhugandu a reference of surf spot in Dhivehi, the local language.

What are the deadlines for registering in Visit Maldives Pro 2023?
Entry Deadline:
– Early-bird Entry (20% Discount on Entry Fee) – 10th July, 2023
– International Athletes: 25th July, 2023
– Local Athletes: 20th July, 2023
How and where do I make the participation fee payment?
The participation fee can be paid to the organisers at the Athlete Briefing to be held on 2nd August 2023.
PLEASE NOTE payments are accepted as cash payments in USD.
Do I have to make a booking before I arrive in the Maldives?
Yes! You must have a confirmed booking at a registered tourist facility. Click here to see Maldives entry visa requirements.
What is the process for completing the Traveler Declaration Form?
Traveler Declaration must be filled in and submitted by all travelers travelling to and from Maldives, within 96 hours prior to their travel.
You may submit the form electronically via IMUGA online portal (https://imuga.immigration.gov.mv)
How will I get to my hotel?
A representative from your hotel will be at the airport to assist you with the domestic flight or transfer to your hotel.
Do I need to present the PCR test result?
Effective from March 13th, 2022, PCR is not mandatory to enter the Maldives
